"Late Summer"

I think what inspired me to paint this, aside from actually getting out and Gathering the reference, was the love I have for the countryside from where I grew up. Even though this scene takes place near my home in southwest Montana, in a sense, it brings me back East.
The river bottoms in Montana are lush Wildlife corridors. With dense brush, large trees, and miles of rolling farmland, I'm often reminded of the land back home. Those cool late summer and early fall evenings. With the Sound of insects Awakening, a slight breeze against the grass, wildlife on the move... I can almost imagine myself there.

Perfect print!

I bought this for my mom, who loves windmills AND deer (it’s like it was made for her?!) and the quality is perfect. I can’t wait to give it to her for Christmas!
