"The Last Frontier"
There's nothing I've experienced quite like Northern Alaska. My expectations were far exceeded not only by how beautiful the countryside was, but also how difficult the terrain was. The spongy arctic ground, rock slides, and nearly vertical mountains made for one wild experience. At the time, only a few moose and the occasional dall sheep could be found amongst the landscape. The views from here blew away my wildest dreams. I imagine a lone ram sits quietly on this beautiful afternoon while the cool August breeze echos softly through mountains.
